A Winsford Paedophile, Graham Lightfoot, has been convicted of sexual offences against minors in the Winsford region over 20 years ago.
Graham Lightfoot, residing at Hartwell Grove, Winsford, was convicted of 11 charges of indecent assault and two acts of sexual assault against minors on Tuesday, June 10, at Liverpool Crown Court after a seven-day trial.
The 57-year-old, Graham Lightfoot, will return to court on Friday, July 11, for sentencing.
The inquiry began in June 2023 when Cheshire Police received allegations of abuse endured by two victims throughout their childhood from 2000 to 2004.
It was said that Graham Lightfoot had indecently attacked them while they were as young as 11 years old. One of the victims was additionally subjected to sexual abuse by him.
Subsequent to a comprehensive investigation, Lightfoot was subsequently charged with the charges. He refuted the allegations but was convicted after a trial.
Detective Constable Kelly Mitchell said:
“Firstly, I would like to thank the victims in this case for their courage throughout this investigation.
“Their brave disclosures detailed how Graham Lightfoot had assaulted them on numerous occasions across many years, and they spoke about how these events had significantly impacted upon their lives.
“It is thanks to them that this predator has now been convicted of some horrendous crimes and will face the consequences of his actions.
“Graham Lightfoot took advantage of two young girls and subjected them to prolonged abuse, demonstrating his absolute disregard for anyone other than himself and his own twisted sexual gratification.
