In court, it was revealed that an unrepentant rapist, Issa Brayzi-Pour, the Bolton paedophile, targeted an elderly person and sexually raped a youngster while purposefully searching the streets at night for susceptible victims. Issa Brayzi-Pour, a 22-year-old individual, has been incarcerated for an indefinite period due to his involvement in assaulting two unfamiliar individuals in Farnworth.
The youngster expressed a sense of having her autonomy restricted, while the woman reported feeling unsafe and has received counselling following her experience of sexual assault. Prosecutors alleged that Issa Brayzi-Pour had been actively roaming the streets during nighttime to find those who were susceptible to harm.
He had resided in the country for around ten months following his arrival in the UK as an asylum seeker from Iran. According to Minshull Street Crown Court, the septuagenarian woman had accompanied her family to a pub where they watched a boxing fight.
According to prosecutor Henry Blackshaw, at a particular moment, the woman departed from the pub, and Issa Brayzi-Pour allegedly engaged in the actions of ‘stalking’ and ‘following’ her. They conversed, and she harboured apprehensions that Brayzi-Pour intended to steal from her.
According to Ms Blackshaw, Issa Brayzi-Pour had physically grasped her and skilfully guided her around corners. However, when they arrived at a side road, Issa Brayzi-Pour sexually assaulted her, specifically during the summer of last year.
A comprehensive police investigation was initiated, and Issa Brayzi-Pour, who was dressed in conspicuous attire consisting of a dark hooded cloak and slider sandals, was identified by surveillance footage. He was apprehended 72 hours after the incident. A DNA sample collected from Issa Brayzi-Pour was subsequently found to be a genetic match to the samples obtained from the victim’s intimate areas.
The court was informed of the woman’s profound and debilitating psychiatric disorders, which have had a substantial impact on her life. Subsequently, it was revealed that Issa Brayzi-Pour had committed sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl 12 days prior in the exact location of Farnworth.
She identified Brayzi-Pour as someone who had previously provided her and her pals with smokes.
Upon her request for another cigarette, Issa Brayzi-Pour propositioned her to engage in oral sex and attempted to initiate a kiss after she accompanied him to a desolate area. “There was evident deliberation regarding tobacco, and she was enticed to a secluded location nearby, with the assurance that it was available there,” stated Mr Blackshaw.
In his defence, Bunty Batra stated that Issa Brayzi-Pour does not have a criminal record in the UK or his place of origin. According to him, individuals familiar with him responded with a strong sense of surprise to his offences, and he was characterised as being courteous and well-mannered.
Mr. Batra refuted any suggestion of ‘grooming’ towards the child, claiming that their relationship was ‘exceptionally short’. In addition, he refuted the claim that Issa Brayzi-Pour had explicitly singled out the elderly or that he had been aimlessly wandering the streets.
Issa Brayzi-Pour, residing at Longcauseway in Farnworth, Bolton, was unanimously convicted of two charges of rape, as well as offences of sexual assault and incitement of a child to participate in sexual conduct. Recorder Andrew McLoughlin, the judge, stated that Brayzi-Pour continues to assert that his victims consented to his actions.
However, he stated that Brayzi-Pour’s account of the events is entirely unrelated to the evidence. “You lack remorse because you mistakenly believe that the victims consented to these actions when, in fact, they did not,” the judge stated.
Issa Brayzi-Pour received a 13-year prison sentence. Before the Parole Board determines if it is safe to release him, he must complete two-thirds of his sentence.
Following his designation as a ‘dangerous’ criminal, he was mandated to serve an extra five years under supervision.
After the sentencing, DC Peter Hardy of Bolton CID expressed his gratitude for the courage displayed by both victims and their determination to pursue this prosecution to its conclusion. We are content with today’s outcome and are gratified that the suffering inflicted by Issa Brayzi-Pour upon his victims has been acknowledged.
“While it is understood that no duration of imprisonment can fully compensate for the traumatic experiences endured by the victims, it is anticipated that such confinement will facilitate their process of reconstructing their lives and recovering from the undoubtedly harrowing ordeal they have endured.” An individual with a high level of danger has been apprehended and can no longer present a threat to any other ladies.
