A guy, Jack Trollope, who transmitted sexual messages and explicit photographs to a 13-year-old girl has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Jack Trollope, previously residing on Fairfax Street in Lincoln, had entered a guilty plea to two charges at a prior hearing in anticipation of sentencing at Lincoln Crown Court today, Friday, 21 March.
The 37-year-old confessed to participating in sexual communication with a minor and transmitting an image of his genitalia to induce panic, distress, or humiliation.
Jack Trollope, a registered sex offender at the time of the acts, was remanded until his case was addressed today.
Court authorities learnt that Jack Trollope eluded law enforcement for a week following the commission of his crimes and was designated a high-risk missing person before surrendering at Mansfield House Police Station in Leicester.
He fully confessed to the cops during an interview, asserting that he had been engaged in a drug binge for the past week and was unable to recall any of his actions.
Jack Trollope was convicted to two years of incarceration and issued a sexual harm prevention order. He was already listed on the sex offenders’ registry.
He received a 12-month sentence for the aforementioned charges.
This prompted the enforcement of a suspended sentence imposed on Jack Trollope following his guilty plea for transmitting an image or video of his genitalia with the intent to induce alarm, distress, or humiliation in December.
This concludes an investigation by Lincolnshire Police’s Protecting Vulnerable Persons Unit, which sought charging guidance from the CPS.
District of Columbia Victoria Robbie commended the efforts of the team that facilitated Trollope’s prosecution.
Case officer Bethany Wright expressed her hope that this penalty will act as a deterrent to potential perpetrators.
She expressed gratitude to all individuals who participated in the investigation and contributed to the compilation of evidence for this case to be presented in court.
Jack Trollope transmitted improper communications to his victim that are unsuitable for any child to witness.
This conduct is unacceptable in Lincolnshire, and we anticipate that this term will serve as a deterrent to potential perpetrators.
“We anticipate that this outcome provides a degree of closure for his victim.”
