The British “Disneyland groom,” Jacky Jhaj, arrested for reportedly attempting to marry a nine-year-old girl, is a recognised paedophile evading justice in the UK, as stated by French authorities.
The 39-year-old was charged on Tuesday with many crimes following the disturbing wedding ceremony that occurred before 100 appalled visitors at the renowned Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Jacky Jhaj is sought in Britain for “noncompliance with the requirements of the British sex offenders register” following convictions for numerous sexual offences against minors.
The 39-year-old, Jacky Jhaj, previously characterised in a court case as a “dangerous sexual predator,” was apprehended during the fraudulent wedding, which occurred at dawn on Saturday morning at a well-known tourist destination for an alleged €130,000 (£111,140).
Jacky Jhaj, whose identity remains undisclosed by French prosecutors but is recognised by The Telegraph as the individual apprehended, has a history of executing eccentric antics and is reported to have assumed the role of the groom during the wedding.
Law enforcement was sent to the amusement park after personnel saw that the bride, a Ukrainian national clad in a wedding gown and seemingly unsteady on high heels, resembled a minor. They suspected it might have constituted an unlawful child marriage.
Jacky Jhaj, who had been “professionally transformed to appear entirely dissimilar” for the orchestrated event, has been detained and charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft.
A 24-year-old Latvian woman, who portrayed the bride’s sister, has been designated as an aided witness, one step away from being charged under French law.
Jacky Jhaj was incarcerated for four years in 2016 after being convicted of four charges of engaging in sexual conduct with two 15-year-olds while impersonating a film producer.
The 29-year-old feigned being 21 to manipulate the adolescents.
During his trial, it was revealed that he had been driving a Range Rover in Hounslow, collecting schoolchildren, supplying them with alcohol, and transporting them to parties organised by other students.
Following his release, he orchestrated several large-scale spectacles frequently including young ladies and children.
In July 2024, Jacky Jhaj admitted guilt to two violations of a notification order and one violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, as confirmed by Isleworth Crown Court.
He faces allegations for orchestrating a fraudulent film shoot in Leicester Square, London, in October 2023, during which 200 youngsters and young women were enlisted to portray fans alongside Jhaj.
In April 2024, he utilised Backstage, a globally recognised casting platform, to recruit kid actors for an extravagant £10,000 simulated burial in the London Oratory.
The funeral for Lauris Zaube, a 23-year-old Latvian man who disappeared following a New Year’s Eve celebration along a frozen dam west of Riga, Latvia, was conducted.
Jacky Jhaj allegedly impersonated the missing man’s brother, donning dark glasses and identifying himself as “Clyde”.
The burial was annulled after the “mourners” disclosed their status as actors and expressed grievances regarding unpaid compensation.
In October, he coordinated a film production at the O2 Arena that included a “controlled explosion” which obliterated a replica BBC van.
Jacky Jhaj was seen standing unclothed in front of the car at the moment the explosion was initiated.
