An alleged Prestwick Sex Offender Jadgar Singh has refuted allegations of sexually assaulting two adolescent females while purportedly striking them in the head.
Jadgar Singh entered a plea of not guilty to two counts of sexual assault and one count of assaulting a female during his appearance at Ayr Sheriff Court last week, following his arrest related to the incident that occurred late last year.
A 68-year-old allegedly grabbed a teenage girl by her clothing, yanked down her top, and exposed her breasts on November 16, 2024, on Prestwick Road.
The accused, Jadgar Singh, residing on Grey Street in Prestwick, allegedly struck her on the head multiple times.
Jadgar Singh is alleged to have sexually assaulted another teenage girl by grasping her garments and tugging down her top, thereby exposing her breasts.
The accusation alleges that he subsequently grasped her by the hair, yanked it, and repeatedly struck her on the head with punches and slaps.
He confronts a third accusation of assaulting a third female complainant, purportedly striking her multiple times on the body.
Defence attorney Quentin Muir stated that his client entered a plea of not guilty to the charges during his initial court appearance on Tuesday, January 7.
Subsequent trial and interim diet hearing dates were established, with the defendant granted bail under restrictions prohibiting any approach or contact with the three complainants.
He will confront the claims at a subsequent date.
A police spokeswoman previously stated: “A 68-year-old man has been apprehended and charged in connection with the purported assault and sexual assault of two adolescent girls on Prestwick Road, Ayr, at approximately 7:30 PM on Saturday, November 16.”
He has been freed on a commitment to appear in court at a future date. A report will be presented to the procurator fiscal.
