A prison sentence has been assigned to an individual, Jahrad Alderton-Ford Kent Paedophile, who sexually molested two girls in Ash, near Sandwich.
In 2022, Kent Police received a report regarding the sexual abuse of two young girls at a residence in the town.
Jahrad Alderton-Ford, residing on Cop Street, was apprehended on the same day the report was filed, and a comprehensive investigation ensued.
The 43-year-old, Jahrad Alderton-Ford, was later charged with two counts of sexual assault, which he denied, leading to a trial.
In October 2024, he was found guilty of the offences at Canterbury Crown Court and received his sentence at the same court on 7 February 2025.
Jahrad Alderton-Ford was sentenced to seven years in prison and mandated to serve one additional year on licence thereafter.
Jahrad Alderton-Ford will also be the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order until further notice, to reduce the risk of him reoffending following his release.
Detective Constable Emma Garcia, Kent Police’s investigating officer, said:
‘These were awful offences against young victims and I am pleased Jahrad Alderton-Ford has been brought to justice for his actions.’By refusing to admit what he had done, he forced his victims and their family to go through a trial and I am pleased the jury saw through his denials.
‘I would like to praise the bravery of the victims in this case, and I urge anyone who has been the victim of sexual offences to report it to police so we can ensure offenders are held responsible for their crimes.’
