A sex offender from Swansea, James Birmingham, has been incarcerated after being convicted of actual bodily harm and sexual assault.
James Birmingham, a 47-year-old resident of Cwmbwrla, initiated an unprovoked and protracted assault on his victim, culminating in a sexual assault at their residence in November 2023.
This Thursday, he was sentenced to three years in prison at Swansea Crown Court.
Detective Constable Abi Doxsey said:
“With this sentence, a violent and extremely dangerous individual is now unable to pose a threat to women for a number of years.
“I would like to commend the role the victim has played in aiding our investigation, as well as their bravery to attend the Crown Court trial in person.”
