A guy, James Goy, who sexually assaulted a girl in Kirklees has been incarcerated subsequent to an inquiry conducted by specialised safety officials.
James Goy, 39, of Plumpton Close, Bradford, victimised an individual under the age of 13 from 2020 to 2022.
Detectives initiated an inquiry following the mother’s complaint of the offence to the police.
James Goy was apprehended and last month admitted guilt to nine charges of raping a child under the age of 13 and one charge of sexual assault involving penetration of a minor under 13.
Today, at Leeds Crown Court, James Goy received a sentence of 14 years and six months of incarceration.
He was issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and has been registered on the Sex Offenders Register.
Detective Constable Holly O’Neill of the Kirklees Child Safeguarding Unit, who spearheaded the investigation, stated:
“We commend the sentence imposed on James Goy today for his abhorrent offenses.” This conveys a firm and unequivocal message that we will not permit the exploitation of minors within our society.
I congratulate the victim for her bravery during the investigation and following trial. Her resilience and that of her family will guarantee the protection of other children for years ahead.
