Ten years have passed after a man, James Kelly Edinburgh Rapist, subjected six women to a protracted campaign of violent, domestic, and sexual abuse went behind bars.
Following a High Court in Edinburgh trial, James Kelly was judged guilty of eighteen crimes on June 17.
Over six years, the forty-three-year-old targeted several former lovers in the Edinburgh area.
His offensive actions also occurred on car trips from the capital to Inverness and Fife.
James Kelly punched one woman in the head and pushed her on the body, therefore inflicting significant injuries on her from falling down a flight of steps.
He kicked her in the body and choked her, trying to get her out of the car.
Showing her a film made of her in an intimate circumstance without her permission, the abuser was found guilty of causing the same victim fear, worry or distress.

This included dragging her by her hair, jumping on her body, a golf club strike, and choking her.
He also grabbed her by the hair and pulled her from a motor vehicle with a crowbar, so striking her on the body.
James Kelly left her alone during the hours of darkness without transportation and made the same victim watch sexual videos during a camping trip.
The abuser made a third lady listen to a tape of him being violent to an ex-partner and then behaved aggressively and threateningly towards her.
He was found guilty of several sexual crimes, including six allegations of rape.
James Kelly was imprisoned for ten years on July 15 at the Edinburgh High Court.
His name has been placed on the indefinite-period sex offender’s record.
Additionally, he was subject to a 25-year non-harassment order.
“James Kelly is a dangerous person whose violent and predatory behaviour has inflicted unimaginable trauma,” said Katrina Parkes, Scotland’s Procurator Fiscal for High Court Sexual Offending.
“It is rather admirable how courageous his victims were in approaching the authorities and talking with them.
“Their proof helps him to be held responsible for his horrible criminal behaviour now.
“We would advise any victim of like crime not to suffer in quiet but to report it. As we work for justice, you will be listened to and supported.
