A judge has determined that it would not be advantageous for the general welfare of the public to continue with the prosecution of the indecent pictures allegations against a reality TV star, James Moore Rapist, who was acquitted of raping a young woman.

James Moore gained widespread recognition in 2016 when he featured in all eight episodes of the MTV series, Ex on the Beach. This reality show, which took place in Portugal, involved eight individuals who aimed to rekindle their romantic relationships with their former partners.

In 2020, the reality personality hailing from Blackpool faced charges in court for rape, revenge porn, possession of obscene photos, and drug-related offences.

Nevertheless, Judge Andrews Jeffries KC has officially declared that there will be no further legal proceedings against the reality star, as he has been acquitted of rape charges after a hearing at Preston Crown Court.

Judge Jeffries KC requested that the Crown Prosecution Service evaluate whether it was in the best interest of the public to proceed with a prosecution over the possession of indecent photographs.

Given that James Moore has already undergone a rape trial and received the photographs under the assumption that the lady was 18 years old.

Judge Jeffries KC stated that James Moore gained fame through his participation in a television program called Ex in The Beach. The judge also remarked that Moore is a youthful and appealing individual.

Following his television appearance, the complaint reached out to him, inviting him to go on a date. They engaged in conversation for a period of time, during which he desired to ascertain her age to ensure she had reached the legal age of 18. She persistently informed him of her existence. I have witnessed her providing testimony and she does not contest it.

“In the early phase of their relationship, she shared multiple images of herself with him, if I may use a slightly outdated term like ‘courting’.” Lancs Live said that he discovered her true age of 15 only at a later time.

The CPS has stated that the charges related to indecent pictures were not pursued.

James Moore was granted an absolute release for the possession of cannabis, and he was charged with possession of ketamine, which has been left pending without further action. The CPS has subsequently verified that the charges related to indecent photographs were not pursued.
