Following a Met probe into non-recent abuse of young boys in South London, a former priest, James Murphy Cork Paedophile, was imprisoned for thirty-one months.

Using old files, statements, journal entries, and psychologists’ findings, the investigation—run by specialised cops—put a former priest and child sex offender behind bars.

The conviction results from the officers and staff of the Met continuing to guard the public from harm, regardless of the length of time the wrongdoing occurred.

Monday, 29 April, Inner London Crown Court condemned James Murphy, 77 (14.11.46) of The Alders Mallow, County Cork, Ireland.

James Murphy entered a guilty plea to seven crimes of indecent assault connected to four victims aged between five and eleven years old on Friday, February 16, at Inner London Crown Court. The transgression occurred between 1975 and 1988.

James Murphy has past convictions for eleven counts of indecent assault against five boys back in 1977, the court also heard.
