A former DJ, James Russell, has been imprisoned for disseminating videos of infants being sexually assaulted to other paedophiles.
Bristol Crown Court was informed that James Russell resorted to alcohol, narcotics, and the distribution of child sexual abuse imagery following the departure of his fiancée. He asserted that he was the rapist while distributing films depicting the sexual assault of infants.
However, when law enforcement apprehended the 36-year-old, he informed them that the proposition had merely been a figment of his imagination.
James Russell, residing on Leinster Avenue in Knowle West, admitted guilt to three counts of producing an indecent image of a child and two counts of disseminating an indecent image of a child.
Judge Euan Ambrose sentenced him to two years of incarceration.
He informed James Russell that the most notable aspect was the remarkably young age of the youngsters implicated in the most egregious content, which was also stuff he opted to disseminate.
James Russell received a ten-year sexual harm prevention order aimed at preventing his recidivism.
He was mandated to register as a sex offender, and his computer equipment was obliterated.
Caighli Taylor, representing the prosecution, stated that law enforcement determined that child abuse material was downloaded to a computer address associated with James Russell.

James Russell possessed 171 images classified at the highest Category A level of concern, illustrating child sexual abuse, which included 18 videos.
Miss Taylor stated that the ages of the assaulted children varied from 18 months to nine years.
She stated that James Russell had disseminated two Category A films to two people. Each depicted an infant being sexually assaulted.
She informed the court that it is evident Mr. James Russell was interacting with a single individual, implying he was the perpetrator in the video.

Katie Jenkins, in defence, stated that after her client’s fiancé abandoned him, he engaged in excessive drinking, consumed cocaine, and accessed child abuse material.
Miss Jenkins stated that James Russell, a former DJ, descended into depression and felt too ashamed to seek assistance.
She stated that he was apprehensive about the consequences of revealing the situation to his general practitioner.
