A Stafford child MOLESTER, Jamie Carnochan, who assaulted multiple victims has been convicted in court after a thorough investigation by our public protection unit officers.
Jamie Carnochan, 27, of Stafford, was convicted on all charges after a trial at Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday, April 2.
Our investigation into him commenced in 2018 following the courageous testimony of one of the survivors who reported his actions to the authorities.
Investigators initiated a comprehensive inquiry to collect evidence of his offences and discovered several additional survivors. Some individuals were minors at the time of the acts, while others were adults over the age of 18.
We exerted considerable effort to gather all necessary evidence and to assist the survivors to the fullest extent.
Jamie Carnochan faced two charges of raping a girl, three charges of raping a woman, and two charges of engaging in sexual behaviour with a girl.
A jury found him guilty of all charges based on the evidence presented in court.
Jamie Carnochan has been remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing date.
DC Hannah Leek, from our public protection unit, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to secure all of the possible convictions for the many survivors in this case.
“We want survivors in Staffordshire to know that we’re here to support you. Detectives can gather all of the evidence needed to bring sex offenders to court and to seek the toughest possible punishment for their abhorrent crimes.”
