Paedophile Jamie Carter from Ellesmere Port, discovered in possession of several obscene photos of children, has been sentenced to 14 months in prison.

Jamie Carter, 22, of Shetland Drive, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, August 18, after having promptly pleaded guilty to all charges.

The police discovered that Jamie Carter had accumulated 357 obscene photographs of youngsters from September 19, 2019, to December 5, 2020.

Among them, 103 were classified as ‘Category A’, the most severe sort of obscene image, while 84 were categorised as Category B and 170 as Category C.

Jamie Carter pleaded guilty to possessing 11 illicit photos of minors and 10 images of violent pornography involving animals.

Consequently, Judge Simon Berkson imposed a 14-month prison sentence on the offender.

Jamie Carter was subjected to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Jamie Carter is barred from engaging with children or vulnerable adults and is restricted from utilising any internet-enabled device unless he has informed the police in advance, refrains from concealing or erasing his internet history, and permits inspection by a police officer.

Jamie Carter is required to register as a sex offender.

He is required to pay a fee of 149.

The iPhone 11 utilised by Jamie Carter to get the inappropriate photographs was to be confiscated and destroyed.
