Following a tip-off from the National Crime Agency, police found almost 2,000 upsetting pictures or videos of children on a man’s, Jay Fleming Bridlington Paedophile, mobile phone. Hull Crown Court was advised of 1,638 images and 424 videos total, with 653 falling within the most severe category.

Visibly proud, Jay Fleming, 26, from Bridlington, entered a guilty plea to three charges of producing indecent pictures of children between April 2021 and March of the previous year. Snapchat had not, however, been loaded on the phone. Reports Hull Live: Jay Fleming answered his police questioning entirely and honestly. Emily Hassell said there was no proof Fleming had tried to get in touch with or personally visited youngsters. He was deemed to have a low risk of reoffending and has no past convictions.

Judge Tahir Khan KC chastised Jay Fleming in court, saying, “You acquired on the internet disgusting photos of children. Plenty of Category A films and pictures were found on your device. Your gadget also turned up photos in Categories B and C.

“I would have sent you to prison for eighteen months should you have not pleaded guilty to these charges; you had the good judgment to own what you did.

“That affects a sentence of incarceration that I can delay as well as a punishment that would call for you to descend those steps. Given the gravity of the wrongdoing, I am responsible for safeguarding the public—including minors in particular.

Jay Fleming was then given a one-year suspended prison sentence and a 30-day rehabilitation requirement. He will be registered as a sex offender for ten years and is also subject to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
