A Tennessee child killer mother, Jessica Chandler, is charged with the murder of her two young children, allegedly smothering them with a Lilo & Stitch blanket.

Jessica Chandler faces numerous charges of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse, according to court records from Washington County, Tennessee. WJHL, WCYB, and Johnson City Press, referencing authorities, claim that the accusations arise from the October fatalities of her 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son.

It is unclear whether Jessica Chandler has submitted a plea, however she attended a preliminary hearing in court on Tuesday, January 7.

During the hearing, investigators stated that the two toddlers perished due to asphyxiation.

“Jessica Chandler indicated on the property list that she utilised a Lilo & Stitch blanket to initially suffocate Vista in her bed,” stated Johnson County Criminal Investigator Michael Fowler at the court. WJHL published a video of his testimony.

WJHL reported that police first suspected poisoning of the youngsters before the autopsy.

On October 29, their father discovered both children unresponsive while arriving at Jessica Chandler’s residence, as stated by the publication.

All three publications said that authorities discovered handwritten notes in Jessica Chandler’s residence, which purportedly suggested that she had murdered her children and intended to commit herself.

Fowler’s testimony said that the notes purportedly provided several justifications for the killings, including her inability to safeguard her children.
