Arranging to see what she believed to be 14 and 12-year-old girls for sex, a transgender paedophile Jessica Smith has been imprisoned.
41-year-old Jessica Smith of Sydney Road, Exeter, sent sexual messages to phoney social media profiles established by so-called paedophile hunters.
She acknowledged three counts of trying to inspire a youngster to engage in sexual conduct and one of planning to commit a child sex offence before Exeter Crown Court.
Judge Peter Johnson imprisoned Jessica Smith two years and ten months.
Jessica Smith also registered as a lifelong sex offender.
The court heard Jessica Smith ask two profiles of fictitious 14-year-old females to reciprocate after sending explicit sexual images to them in the summer of 2018.
She invited the child to bring along a 12-year-old friend and set up one to see her at Sidbury, close to Sidmouth, Devon.
The people setting up the account discovered Jessica Smith at their designated meeting spot and reported her to Devon and Cornwall Police.
The court said to her during sentence: “You thought you were chatting to someone aged 14 on social media and within ten minutes you shifted the conversation to sexual matters.
“I fail to grasp why you thought this was appropriate for any reason other than your sexual gratification.”
