A sexual deviant, Joe Collins Hadston Paedophile, transmitted explicit images of his genitals and described sexual actions to a minor online. Joe Collins was already involved in legal processes over analogous issues when he initiated online communication with the 14-year-old. Unbeknownst to the perpetrator, he was conversing with members of a vigilante organisation named Innocent Voices, and he was subsequently denounced to the authorities, as presented in court.
Joe Collins, residing on Hartside Crescent in Hadston, near Amble, was apprehended, and his electronic devices were confiscated, subsequently revealing abhorrent child sexual assault photographs and films, some including “very young children”. The 29-year-old is now confronting incarceration after pleading guilty to attempting to engage in sexual conduct with a minor and three charges of producing obscene photos of minors.
The South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court was informed that Joe Collins initiated communication with the girl, named Megan, on October 3, 2022, and persisted in conversing with her until November 7, 2022, despite being aware of her age. During that period, the individual solicited sexual conversation, remarked that she would be attractive in a bikini, detailed sexual actions, and transmitted an image of his genitals.
Ruth Forster, prosecuting, stated that upon the seizure of Joe Collins’ electronic devices following his detention, authorities discovered 67 category A photos and films, the most severe classification, depicting penetrative sexual behaviour. He possessed 28 grade B photographs and eight category C photographs.
Mark Harrison, defending, said the case should be sent to the crown court for sentence. Mr Harrison added: “In 2023, he was made subject of a suspended sentence order for similar matters.
“Although these offences predate that order and don’t put him in breach of it, they arose during the proceedings, which resulted in that order being made.”
Magistrates agreed and Joe Collins was released on unconditional bail to next appear at Newcastle Crown Court for sentence on March 11.
