Two St Leonards paedophiles, Joe Wibberley and Karl James, who admitted guilt to producing and transmitting obscene images of children have been imprisoned.
Lewes Crown Court sentenced 30-year-old Joe Wibberley of Battle Road, St Leonards, and 30-year-old Karl James also of Battle Road.
Joe Wibberley pleaded guilty to transmitting two Category A and two Category B indecent photos of minors at Hastings Magistrates Court in February. The offences occurred between December 15, 2017, and October 22, 2018.
On or before October 30, 2018, he also indicated guilty pleas to charges of creating no less than 334 Category A indecent photos of children, 208 Category B indecent images of children and 673 Category C indecent images of children.
Karl James entered a guilty plea to transmitting one Category A indecent video of children and five Category A indecent photos of minors. He said he was guilty of sharing two Category B video images of children and one Category C picture of children. The violations occurred between December 15, 2017, and October 22, 2018.
On or before October 30, 2018, he also indicated guilty pleas to charges of creating no less than 237 Category A indecent photos of children, 261 Category B indecent images of children and 287 Category C indecent images of children.
Before their March 3 sentencing, both men, Joe Wibberley and Karl James, were granted conditional bail. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reported that both individuals were sentenced to 24 months overall at Lewes Crown Court that day.
For ten years, Joe Wibberley and Karl James also had a sexual harm prevention order set in place.
A force spokesman said: Officers from the Paedophile On-Line Investigation Team of Sussex Police conducted an intelligence-led inquiry leading to this prosecution.
