A rapist nurse from Croydon, John Iwuh, who sexually assaulted a woman he encountered on a dating application, possessed roughly 11,000 contacts on his phone, predominantly comprising women labelled with the names of dating apps.
John Iwuh, 54, of Albert Road, South Norwood, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for raping a lady and surreptitiously recording the assault.
He received a sentence at Croydon Crown Court on Friday, July 11, following his prior conviction for rape and voyeurism.
John Iwuh will be permanently registered as a sex offender and is also subject to a restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
John Iwuh leveraged his profession as a nurse to cultivate the victim’s confidence subsequent to their connection on the app Hinge.
The court was informed that he convinced her to come to his residence under the guise of needing to prepare for a hospital shift due to time constraints.
