Jonathan Ward, aged 53, has received a five-year prison sentence after being convicted of 10 counts of indecent assault against a girl under 14, all perpetrated in Great Barr between 1988 and 1991.
Jonathan Ward, formerly of Great Barr and most recently residing in Keswick, Cumbria, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court for sentencing.
He received concurrent jail sentences for each of the 10 crimes, the longest being five years, followed by an extended licence period of one year.
The judge issued an indefinite restraining order, prohibiting Ward from contacting his victim. Jonathan Ward was additionally placed on the sex offenders register for an extended duration.
