A HIGH-RISK Cockermouth Paedophile sex offender, Jonathon Fell, from West Cumbria has been incarcerated again following alerts from online monitoring software on his recent offences.

Jonathon Fell, 27, whose prior criminal conduct resulted in a 45-month incarceration in 2021, is currently subject to a stringent sexual harm prevention order aimed at limiting his online activities.

At Carlisle’s Rickergate court, Jonathon Fell, a resident of Carlisle and west Cumbria, acknowledged eight fresh offences, which include two charges of downloading indecent photos of children and two charges of possessing child abuse images.

He additionally admitted guilt to four charges of violating his sexual harm prevention order by accessing online platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

Prosecutor George Shelley stated that the indecent child photographs were categorised as Category B, the second most severe classification, and Category C, which included eight images.

During an online discussion, Mr. Shelley stated that Jonathon Fell enquired about the age of a person’s child.

The court was informed that his initial offences concerned sexually abusive conduct towards infants and other extremely young children.

He devoted many days to searching for victims online, including one instance providing a nine-year-old kid with explicit instructions on sexually assaulting his three-year-old sibling. Subsequent to the conviction, law enforcement characterised Fell as “manipulative.”

Jonathon Fell had deceived both them and other organisations over his online activity, they asserted. All eight of Jonathon Fell’s recent crimes were perpetrated in the Cockermouth region.

“This defendant is classified as a high-risk sex offender,” stated Mr. Shelley.

“His prior sexual convictions pertained to child contact, and it is reassuring that the e-safe monitoring software has identified these issues at an early stage.”

Jonathon Fell, residing at Mawsons Court, Cockermouth, requested his attorney Duncan Campbell to petition for his bail release. The court was informed that Fell had 11 prior sexual crimes on his record.

Mr. Campbell informed the magistrates that it was not “inevitable” that Jonathon Fell would get a custodial sentence for his offences when the case proceeds to the crown court.

The defendant’s digital equipment was confiscated by the police, resulting in the loss of access.

“He was fully cognisant that the e-safe monitoring apparatus was installed on his electronic devices and that all activities were being observed,” stated Mr. Campbell, implying that Jonathon Fell did not conceal his actions.

Magistrates detained Fell in custody.

He is scheduled to be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on January 14 of the following year. Simultaneously, probation personnel will compile a background report for the sentencing judge.
