Following an investigation by the Thames Valley Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit, Joseph Fay, Oxford Paedophile, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison, with an additional year on licence, for multiple sexual offences against a juvenile.

Joseph Fay, 65, of Oxford, was found guilty by a majority jury verdict of two counts of rape and several counts of indecent assault on a child under 13 following a trial at Oxford Crown Court that concluded on 10 March.

Joseph Fay was exonerated of two further allegations of indecent assault, and the jury could not get a verdict on another charge of child indecency.

Today (19/5), Joseph Fay returned to the same court for sentencing and received an extended prison term.

The offences transpired in the 1980s in Oxford, where Joseph Fay perpetrated multiple sexual assaults and rapes against the victim.

She notified Thames Valley Police of the offence in 2020, and Joseph Fay was charged on 17 February 2021.
