Joshua Lloyd Northampton Paedophile

A Northampton Paedophile heroin dealer, Joshua Lloyd, who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

In October 2023, a report was sent to Northamptonshire Police stating that 20-year-old Joshua Lloyd engaged in sexual activity with a minor.

Officers arrived at her residence, and Joshua Lloyd was apprehended after being discovered concealed behind a shower curtain.

An inquiry commenced, resulting in Joshua Lloyd being charged with engaging in sexual relations with the girl between September and October of that year.

During this period, on May 2, 2024, officers executed a stop and search on Joshua Lloyd on Goldings Road, Northampton, pursuant to Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

He was discovered in possession of 11 wraps of heroin and 47 wraps of crack cocaine, along with cash, and he confessed to having the substances for the purpose of sale.

During a court hearing on July 16 of the previous year, Joshua Lloyd acknowledged two charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance concerning crack cocaine and heroin.

On November 15, he acknowledged one count of engaging in penetrative sexual behaviour as an adult with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Joshua Lloyd, previously residing at Fir Tree Walk, Northampton, was sentenced to a total of 42 months’ imprisonment at Northampton Crown Court on January 7, comprising 30 months for sexual abuse, an additional 12 months for heroin possession, and a concurrent 12 months for crack cocaine possession.

He was also made subject to an indefinite registration requirement on the Sex Offenders’ Register, barred from working in regulated activity relating to children, and made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order designed to guard against further offending once he is released.

Speaking afterwards, Detective Constable Laura Beeby, who investigated Joshua Lloyd’s sexual offending, said: “Northamptonshire Police is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse of any form. Joshua Lloyd was 19 when he met this child, and despite knowing her age, he pursued a sexual relationship with her.

“No adult should ever believe it is acceptable to have a sexual relationship with a child, and I’m glad that Joshua Lloyd at least admitted his guilt over his criminal actions.

“Once he is released from prison Joshua Lloyd will be subject to stringent conditions and will be closely monitored for the rest of his life. If he breaks any of the conditions he has to abide by, he can expect a swift return to prison.”
