A 35-year-old Warwick Paedophile, Justin McGarry has been sentenced for charges related to child sexual exploitation.

Justin McGarry of Emscote Road, Warwick, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Monday, June 30.

In 2020, we received a complaint of child sexual offences occurring in the Leamington region during a five-year span.

An inquiry was initiated, resulting in Justin McGarrys arrest and subsequent charges.

Last week, he was convicted on eight charges of child sexual abuse involving a minor under the age of 13. He has been sentenced to nine years of incarceration and will remain on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.

In light of the verdict, Detective Sergeant Stephen Barr stated: “Justin McGarry inflicted enduring suffering on the victim and their family, and it is due to their bravery in coming forward that we have achieved justice.”

“We are grateful to everyone who worked to support us from the point of receiving the initial report through to the day of sentencing.

“I hope this conviction demonstrates that Warwickshire Police are determined to bring offenders to justice, serving and protecting our communities with compassion and a victim focus. To anyone who has suffered sexual abuse, please do not suffer in silence and do not be afraid to tell someone.”

A man convicted of prolonged sexual assault of a child has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

Justin McGarry, 35, of Emscote Road, Warwick, was convicted of eight charges of child sexual assault involving a victim under the age of 13 by a jury at Warwick Crown Court on 26 June.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Barr of Warwickshire Police stated that McGarry inflicted “lifelong suffering” on the victim and their family.

The 35-year-old received a sentence at the same court on Monday and was indefinitely registered as a sex offender.

The police announced that an investigation commenced following a report of child sexual offences in the Leamington region in 2020.

It stated that McGarry perpetrated the offences during a four-year span from July 2016 to July 2020, prior to his arrest in August 2020.

Detective Sergeant Barr stated that the bravery of the victim and their family facilitated the prosecution of the 35-year-old individual.

He encouraged all individuals who had experienced sexual assault to overcome their fear and disclose their experiences to someone.
