Three ‘Young Foreign Models’ indicted for arson attacks on two residences and a vehicle associated with Sir Keir Starmer are scheduled to stand trial in April of the following year, according to court proceedings.

How did the three men know where Keir Starmer lived and what car he owned?

Roman Lavrynovych, 21, and Stanislav Carpiuc, 26, appeared jointly via video link from the high-security Belmarsh jail in southeast London.

Petro Pochynok, 34, declined to attend the hearing on Friday and stayed in his cell.

They will next appear in court on 17 October to submit pleas about the charges against them.

The allegations pertain to three occurrences. On 8 May, a vehicle once owned by the prime minister was discovered ablaze on a street in Kentish Town, north London, where he had resided.

Three days later, a fire was detected at apartments associated with the Prime Minister in the vicinity of Islington. Firefighters utilised breathing apparatus to rescue an individual.

On 12 May, a fire was detected at the door to Sir Keir’s rented residence in Kentish Town.

Mr. Roman Lavrynovych, a Ukrainian national residing in Sydenham, south London, was the initial individual to be prosecuted and faces three counts of arson with the intent to harm life.

Mr. Stanislav Carpiuc, a Romanian national born in Ukraine and residing in Romford, east London, is the second individual charged alongside Mr. Petro Pochynok, a Ukrainian from Holloway Road, north London, with conspiracy to conduct arson with the intent to endanger life.

During the brief hearing at the Old Bailey on Friday, Mr. Roman Lavrynovych and Mr. Stanislav Carpiuc solely affirmed their identities and dates of birth through an interpreter.

Mrs. Justice Cheema Grubb informed the court that Mr. Petro Pochynok had declined to exit his cell for the preliminary hearing, noting that the three men would next appear before the court in October to formally submit their pleas.

All three have asserted their denial of the charges, and a trial date has been scheduled for 27 April 2026.
