A convicted Levenshulme sex offender, Keith Smith, asserted that he received a ‘malicious email’ when apprehended while viewing pornography on a library computer.
Keith Smith, 72, was utilising an iPhone connected to a computer when he was approached by an individual who observed him viewing photographs of semi-nude ladies.
Keith Smith, a resident of Levenshulme, acknowledged violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) established in 2011 after being discovered in possession of indecent photos of minors. One of the stipulations required him to provide his internet history upon police request.
Keith Smith, residing on Stanhope Street in Levenshulme, received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He is required to fulfil an accredited program, complete 15 days of rehabilitation activities, and remit £150 in court costs.
