A Camborne Paedophile sex offender, Kevin Matthew Blake, has been sentenced to six years in prison for the assault of two young boys.

Kevin Matthew Blake, 41, residing at Rosewarne Wollas Cottages, Camborne, was previously found guilty by a jury of four charges of assaulting a youngster under the age of 13 through physical contact.

Kevin Matthew Blake attended Truro Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday, 26 June. He was also subjected to a 20-year sexual harm prevention order.

During the proceedings, the court learnt that Kevin Matthew Blake’s misconduct was revealed in 2023 when questions emerged regarding his continuous refusal to complete a DBS check.

An inquiry was initiated concerning two identifiable male victims, both of whom reported to investigators that they were sexually assaulted by Kevin Matthew Blake, with the second victim stating that the incidents occurred on multiple times.

During the questioning subsequent to his detention, Kevin Matthew Blake denied that any offence occurred.

Kevin Matthew Blake had formerly been listed on the Sex Offenders’ Register but was not under its jurisdiction at the commencement of the investigation.

Officer in the case DC Emily Distin from the Public Protection Unit, said: “Kevin Matthew Blake only had the courage to admit what he has done following his conviction, so I am happy that he has finally been brought to justice for his horrific crimes.

“I would like to thank the young victims and their parents for bravely supporting this investigation and allowing us to ensure Kevin Matthew Blake will spend a number of years behind bars.

“We take all allegations of child sexual abuse extremely seriously and urge any victims to either contact us on 101 or via our website, or by calling 999 if a child is in immediate danger.

“We will thoroughly investigate all reports made to us.”
