Kris Bond - Ashington

Kris Bond, an Ashington Paedophile, who sexually assaulted his school-aged victim in the 1990s, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison following the establishment of a comprehensive case by law enforcement officials.

Kris Bond, 61, commenced the sexual abuse of his school-aged victim in the 1990s, coercing her into sexual actions and raping her across many years of her childhood.

He coerced and intimidated her into silence, and it was not until 2018 that she courageously chose to inform the authorities and reveal her previous trauma.

After a lengthy investigation from specialist officers working for Northumbria Police, Kris Bond, of Lyncroft, Ashington, Northumberland, NE63, was charged with ten offences, including four counts of rape, four counts of indecency with a child and two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Kris Bond claimed to be innocent of any wrongdoing and the case was sent for trial at Newcastle Crown Court.

But a jury found him guilty of all ten offences on August 15 this year.

On Friday (October 21), at that same court, a judge handed Kris Bond a 20-year jail sentence.
