A 38-year-old man, Lee Alan Kneller, from Waterlooville has been charged with burglary, assault and sexual assault.
Lee Alan Kneller, 38, of Chaffinch Green, was arrested on Saturday 8 June following an incident earlier in the day on Vian Road, where it is alleged he assaulted a woman in her 40s and then stole her handbag.
Lee Alan Kneller was charged yesterday (Sunday 9 June) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today.

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, officers responded to complaints that a woman in her 40s, while doing her duties as a caretaker at a residence on Vian Road, was confronted by Lee Alan Kneller, who knocked on the door and forcibly entered, asserting a need to use the restroom.
The woman instructed Lee Alan Kneller to depart; however, he subsequently sexually assaulted her, extorted money, stole her handbag, and absconded from the premises.
The Havant and East Hants Criminal Investigations Department promptly initiated an inquiry, and through CCTV enquiries and public responses to a media request for information, Kneller was swiftly identified and apprehended later that day.
Lee Alan Kneller pleaded guilty to robbery and sexual assault and was sentenced on Friday, February 7, to eight and a half years of imprisonment, with an indefinite requirement to register as a sexual offender.
