UPDATE 05.07.25

A former Metropolitan Police officer, the Egham Paedophile, Lee Hargrave, has been permanently registered as a sex offender after admitting to voyeurism and possessing indecent photos of minors.

Lee Hargrave, 49, (DOB 20/9/1975) of Egham, was prosecuted after a 2023 investigation revealed that he had installed a camera in the victim’s bedroom and bathroom, capturing indecent photographs and footage of the victim, who was aged between 12 and 15 at the time.

On Wednesday, July 2, at Guildford Crown Court, Lee Hargrave received a 13-month prison sentence for voyeurism and a three-month prison sentence for possessing indecent photos of children, both suspended for two years. He was permanently registered on the Sex Offenders Register, issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and subjected to an indefinite Restraining Order prohibiting contact with the victim and her family.

Lee Hargrave resigned from the Metropolitan Police in August 2024. An expedited misconduct hearing that month determined he would have been terminated without notice had he still been employed. He has been included on the Barred List, which prohibits his employment with police forces, local policing entities, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, or His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.
