Rapist Lexi Secker, 35, of Lowbourne, Melksham, has been sentenced to 6.5 years in jail for the rape of a lady in Swindon in 2021, as of today (27/09).

Lexi Secker, previously known and charged as Alex Secker but now identifying as Lexi Secker, was convicted by trial in June of this year for a rape that occurred on 23 April 2021, following a night out in Blunsdon.

Lexi Secker is well known in the Swindon film community having directed several short films including the thriller Follow The Crows, Onus and The Silent Assassin.

DC Corrina Wiltshire said: “I would firstly like to thank our victim in this case who has been inspirational in the way they have handled things.

“I hope this sentence gives other victims the strength to come forward and help police seek justice for them.

“This case has taken a long time to get to this point, but I’m pleased to say the victim has trusted the police throughout and stayed with this despite the hurdles. They have such incredible strength and I hope it shows others that they can do this too.

“If you’ve been a victim, please report rape or sexual assault as soon as possible. Even if you’re not 100 per cent sure, we’d sooner hear from you so that we can make sure you’re safe. If you’re not ready to talk to the police just yet, that’s OK. Below you can find a range of places to get support, advice and medical help.

“You can speak to these organisations in confidence and what you tell them won’t be shared with the police unless you ask for it to be.

“Independent sexual violence advisors (ISVAs) work with adults and children who have experienced sexual violence and their families to get them access to the services they need.

“You can talk to an ISVA without talking to the police.

“You can access ISVAs through sexual assault referral centres (SARCs). SARCs have specially trained doctors, nurses and support workers on hand 24 hours a day, offering medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been raped, sexually assaulted or abused.”

A police spokesperson added: “It is important that we have reported the facts of this case as accepted by the CPS and the criminal justice service. Throughout the trial, Lexi Seckerwas referred to as a female and the name Lexi was used. However, it is important to reference that Lexi Secker offended and was subsequently charged, as a man – Alexander Secker.

“This is in line with national guidance for naming defendants and could possibly support with establishing the existence of other victims of sexual abuse and rape.”
