Liam Stephen Wood, a paedophile child sex offender from Burton-on-Trent, has been sentenced to nine years in prison following the courageous testimony of the survivor.
Liam Stephen Wood, 19, from Burton, admitted guilt to two charges of causing or persuading a female child under 13 to participate in sexual conduct and three charges of producing indecent photos of a child during a prior court session.
On Thursday, November 7, at Stafford Crown Court, Liam Stephen Wood was sentenced to nine years in prison, accompanied by a five-year extended licence period. He was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life, issued a restraining order against the victim for ten years and subjected to a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Liam Stephen Wood was arrested in May 2024 after the survivor, a girl, bravely came forward and told someone about what Wood had done.
