A man, Lloyd Prior Broom Knoll Paedophile, charged with historical sexual offences informed his purported victims that he was “playing a game” prior to the assaults, a court has been informed.
Lloyd Prior, 36, faces charges of sexually assaulting minors in north Essex and Suffolk over a decade-long period.
On the second day of his trial at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, the prosecution presented video footage from 2022, during which the claimed victims were cross-examined.
In the recording, Jessica Ward, representing the defence, enquired if one individual urged another to report a complaint against Prior to the police.
They replied: “I wanted them to but I wasn’t going to pressure them to.
“I wanted them to do it so that they could get justice about what they went through.”
The alleged victim said Lloyd Prior would tell children it was a game before sexually assaulting them.
Mrs Ward asked: “You also mentioned that Lloyd said it was a game – did you say this was the first time Lloyd said that about it being a game?”
They replied: “He said it all the time.”
Lloyd Prior is also accused of raping a child and taking a photo as he did so.
Mrs Ward asked: “You say Lloyd took a picture on his phone, and your back was towards his front.
“How did you see the picture being taken?”
The complainant replied: “I looked over my shoulder and he held his phone up to my face.”
Mrs Ward then suggested the allegations, all of which Lloyd denies, were false.
She said: “Lloyd has never removed your clothing – do you agree or disagree?”
The complainant replied: “I disagree.”
Lloyd Prior, who sat in the dock wearing a blue shirt and glasses, made notes as Mrs Ward continued her questions.
She continued: “I suggest all the allegations you have made against Lloyd are untrue.”
The complainant replied: “I disagree.”
Lloyd Prior, of Broom Knoll, East Bergholt, denies five counts of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13, three counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, three counts of inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, and one count of raping a child under 13.
The trial continues.
