A 23-year-old male, Louis Davies Flore paedophile, has been incarcerated for 18 months due to violating the conditions of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). This violation occurred when he accessed the internet without authorisation and installed social media applications.
From December 2022 to January 2023, Louis Davies participated in an internet dialogue with an individual he assumed was a 14-year-old female. This involved the exchange of explicit words and the sharing of sexually graphic photographs.
Nevertheless, the individual referred to as the “teenage girl” was a decoy employed by an online activist organisation. As a result, Louis Davies faced charges for his attempt to initiate sexual communication with a minor, his attempt to expose a child between the ages of 13 and 15 to explicit images, and his attempt to incite a girl between the ages of 13 and 15 to engage in sexual activity.
Last year, Louis Davies, who resides at The Crescent in Flore, received a 10-year SHPO (Sexual Harm Prevention Order) at Northampton Crown Court. Additionally, he was given a 16-month prison sentence, which was then suspended for 24 months.
The SHPO was given specific terms that he must adhere to, which include not using any computer or device that can access the internet unless it can store and show the browsing history and informing the police within three days of any online usernames.
On April 30 of this year, officers from Northamptonshire Police’s MOSOVO unit, responsible for closely monitoring sexual and violent offenders, arrested Louis Davies during a regular visit. Davies was arrested because he confessed to violating the provisions of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
During his police interrogation, Louis Davies confessed to the repeated installation, deletion, and subsequent reinstallation of multiple social media applications on his mobile device, such as Snapchat, Tinder, and Instagram. This behaviour occurred three to four times within two months.
Louis Davies was then accused of seven instances of noncompliance with Sex Offenders’ Register reporting requirements, as well as one violation of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
On May 10, Louis Davies attended Northampton Magistrates’ Court, when his case was transferred to Northampton Crown Court. On June 21, he admitted guilt on all charges.
He received a sentence of 18 months of imprisonment, 12 months for violating his suspended sentence and 8 months for the new charges.
PC Mark Edkins, the lead investigator of the Force’s MOSOVO Team, stated that Louis Davies, as per his notification duties, should strictly comply with them. However, his actions plainly showed a complete disdain for the court-imposed sanctions.
“We have a strict policy of zero tolerance towards situations like this. If a breach is detected, there will be no opportunities for redemption. This case serves as a clear example of how seriously we handle the supervision of sex offenders.”
