Ash Tree Lane Rape - Chatham - Luton Recreation Ground

Alleged to have been raped close to Ash Tree Lane in Chatham is a teenage girl. On Sunday, July 28, the victim was walking across Luton Recreation Ground between 7 and 9pm when she informed police she came upon a man she did not know tending a dog.

He walked her to a nearby woodland area where the offence occurred. The guy, in his 40s, is white with a bald head and has an England shirt and shorts.

One of his arms was covered with a tattoo sleeve. The dog he was walking was a little white with brown spots. “Officers are in the area making further enquiries surrounding this incident, so the community can expect to see an increased police presence,” said Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Adam Marshall of Kent Police.
