Mahad Hussein, the East London Rapist, was arrested for raping a Brighton woman on a night out In January 2019, Mahad Hussein, of Copenhagen Place, Tower Hamlets, sexually assaulted a 25-year-old lady in the southern coast city.

An unemployed 22-year-old, Mahad Hussein saw his victim as a “piece of meat” and “showed a lack of disregard for the victim” during the trial.,

On June 13, 2019, Mahad Hussein was imprisoned for 13 years at Hove Crown Court.

Early on Tuesday, January 15, the victim—who cannot be identified for legal reasons—was walking along Ship Street in Brighton when Mahad Hussein, whom she had seen earlier that evening, approached her.

At this point, Mahad Hussein sexually assaulted her.

Spotting the victim in difficulty, a delivery driver helped a nearby security guard until police arrived.

Mahad Hussein was named as the suspect after detectives found CCTV from the area. On January 21, he was arrested and charged with two counts of rape. After a four-day trial, he was found guilty both on counts. Apart from 13 years of incarceration, Mahad Hussein will be a registered sex offender for life.

Judge David Rennie clarified at the sentencing how Mahad Hussein would have almost probably escaped with this horrific rape absent the CCTV cameras in the vicinity.

Mahad Hussein was “viewing the victim as a piece of meat,” he said, and he “showed a lack of disregard for the victim,” who made it abundantly evident she had no interest in sexual contact with him.
