Malcolm Thomas Clixby has been indicted following an alleged attempted rape in a park in Darlington. Malcolm Thomas Clixby will appear today (Monday, November 4) at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court, facing charges of attempted rape, sexual assault, and false imprisonment.
The incident pertains to an alleged sexual assault that occurred in South Park on Saturday, November 2, prompting cops to cordon off an area of the park.
As previously reported, the alleged assault took place when a girl, aged 17, was approached by a man in a park around 4.45pm.
Pictures from the scene on Sunday showed how blue and white police tape was set up at the scene, with crime scene investigations in attendance.
Malcolm Thomas Clixby, 42, of Darlington, is expected to appear in court this morning.
