Where is Marc Cornford? Is he busy raping children in your community? Can you help find the Eastbourne Paedophile Marc Cornford?

Doorman Marc Cornford established friendships with vulnerable adolescent girls, then sexually assaulting them.

This evening, the now 50-year-old from Eastbourne is commencing a 15-year prison sentence following a conviction at Hove Crown Court.

Cornford, residing on Percival Road, Eastbourne, was convicted of sexually assaulting and raping one girl over a two-year period from 1995 to 1997; sexually abusing and raping another girl over a two-year span from 1998 to 2000; and sexually attacking a third girl in November 2010.

He received a 15-year prison term yesterday (Thursday). Cornford must complete two-thirds of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole, and after 15 years, regardless of early release, he will remain on licence for an additional five years.

Detective Constable Kat Hughes of the East Sussex CID Child Protection Team stated, “Cornford exploited vulnerable girls who felt incapable of refusing.”He established friendships with each victim through their parents and relatives, all residing in Eastbourne, and became a trusted ‘family friend’ in every instance.

He thereafter managed to isolate each female and perpetrate sexual abuse against them. He instilled false hope in the first two by suggesting a desire for an ongoing relationship with them. “This was a multifaceted and troubling case, yet it demonstrates that all incidents, regardless of their historical context, can be thoroughly investigated by us and resolved positively. The victims exhibited remarkable bravery in coming forward and recounting these traumatic events publicly, leading to a dangerous individual receiving an extended custodial sentence.”
