This is the police mugshot of a Birmingham Paedophile, Marcus Newton, who has been imprisoned for attacking two children under the age of thirteen and a woman horrifically. Once Marcus Newton’s three courageous victims came forward, his terrible wrongdoing as a “sexual predator” was exposed.

One informed West Midlands Police officials of Marcus Newton’s activities having a significant effect on his mental health and of thoughts of suicide. He told investigators that the wrongdoing occurred throughout his early years.

Two other victims also came forward after the initial victim contacted police. One was a lady claiming she had been raped by Marcus Newton in 2018 and 2019. Another lady stepped forward to claim she had been sexually assaulted by him over four years while still a minor.

To support her account, police claimed they watched videos on her phone, including photographs and texts he had sent. Arrested and eventually prosecuted, the 27-year-old, Marcus Newton, from Aston.

Following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court; he has been found guilty of two charges of rape following a child under 13 and one charge of sexually assaulting a child under 13.

After a July 26 hearing, Marcus Newton was imprisoned for twenty-one years. He was also put on the lifetime sex offenders register.

Detective Sergeant Sareena Puri of the police’s Adult Investigation Team said, speaking after the case: “Marcus Newton is a sexual predator who raped and sexually abused his defenceless victims. Two of them were less than thirteen at the time. The penalty we have chosen conveys that those who act in this horrible manner will be discovered and spend many years in prison.

“I would want to honour the bravery of his three victims for coming forward to inform us of what he had done. One should applaud their guts in presenting evidence before courts. For what he has done and for the effects his wrongdoing has had on the lives of his three victims, Marcus Newton has displayed no indications of regret. Their bravery should inspire other victims of sexual assault and rape to come forward. Here, we are listening and ready to assist.
