Mark Duffy, 32, of Rossnareen Avenue, Belfast, appeared via video link from Maghaberry Prison at Craigavon Magistrates Court, facing 12 charges related to an incident on March 22 of the previous year.
Mark Duffy faces charges of non-fatal strangling, threats to kill, two counts of common assault, theft, possession of an offensive weapon with intent, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, cruelty to a person under 16 years, two counts of false imprisonment, and a domestic abuse crime.
The charges were presented to Mark Duffy during the Preliminary Enquiry, and a prosecutor asserted that a prima facie case exists.
District Judge Michael Ranaghan stated that he identified a prima facie case.
Mark Duffy was referred for trial to Craigavon Crown Court, with a pre-arraignment session set for January 23 and arraignment scheduled for February 13.
