The Bishopstone Rapist, Martin Collins, 46, was convicted by a jury at Winchester Crown Court of two charges of deliberate strangling and one act of rape against an acquaintance.
The offences occurred between 1 July 2023 and 1 August 2023, during which Martin Collins was also convicted of criminal damage to a tumble dryer at a location in Andover.
The trial commenced on Monday, June 9 of this year, with the jury delivering their verdicts on Friday, June 13.
Martin Collins, residing on Netton Close in Bishopstone, Wiltshire, received his sentence that same day. His Honour Judge Dugdale sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment and imposed a 20-year restraining order.
