Martin McKeen rapist sex offender - Alexandria

A Alexandria Rapist, Martin McKeen, who raped a terrified woman has been jailed. Martin McKeen struck at a flat in Haldane, West Dunbartonshire, in July 2018.

The 34-year-old telecommunications engineer, Martin McKeen, had denied carrying out the crime.

But jurors at the High Court in Glasgow convicted him of the rape charge.

They did, however, delete the accusation Martin McKeen had attacked her on more than one occasion.

First offender Martin McKeen, of Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, had been on bail as he returned to the dock to be sentenced on Tuesday, September 20.

Judge Tom Hughes told him: “This is a very serious conviction.

“The woman gave evidence and she did so bravely. Given the circumstances of the case, a custodial sentence is inevitable.”

Sheriff Hughes jailed Martin McKeen for four years. He was also put on the sex offenders register.
