A London Paedophile Teacher, Matthew Smith, discovered in possession of over 120,000 photographs of child exploitation on his gadgets has been permanently prohibited from teaching.

Matthew Smith, the former deputy headteacher at Thomas’s Battersea Primary School in London, was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2023 for orchestrating the sexual exploitation of children in India over encrypted chat platforms.

The Teaching Regulation Authority (TRA) determined on Thursday that Matthew Smith is to be permanently prohibited from teaching [MIGHT BE AN IDEA!].

The 36-year-old, Matthew Smith, admitted culpability for 17 charges associated with child sexual assault. This involved facilitating the sexual exploitation and abuse of a kid, inciting the rape of a child, and compelling a youngster to participate in sexual activities.

The Crown Prosecution Service stated that Matthew Smith’s offences occurred between June 2016 and November 2022 while his residence and employment as a teacher in Nepal.

In July 2022, Matthew Smith returned to the UK and commenced his role as deputy head teacher and head of pastoral care at Thomas’s Battersea Primary School.

Matthew Smith was apprehended at his residence in East Dulwich, southeast London, by the National Crime Agency (NCA).

The NCA discovered evidence on his laptop indicating that Matthew Smith utilised Telegram, an encrypted messaging platform, to communicate about the receipt and distribution of obscene photographs of children.

Chat records indicated that Matthew Smith solicited explicit photographs of minors in return for monetary compensation. The CPS stated that children under the age of 13 were subjected to maltreatment and recorded, either by video or photography, at his behest.

More than 120,000 indecent images of children aged from three months to 13 years old were uncovered by officers from Matthew Smith’s laptop, iPhone and an SD card.

TRA decision maker Marc Cavey said: “In this case, I have placed considerable weight on the very serious nature of the misconduct found by the panel, which involved the sexual exploitation of children by a teacher.

“I am also mindful of the lack of evidence of insight or remorse and the likely negative impact of Mr Matthew Smith’s actions on the standing of the profession.” [WHAT ABOUT THE ABUSED KIDS?]
