Another nonce from the Isle of Wight, Matthew Turvey Ryde PAEDOPHILE, recognised his apprehension following the police’s confiscation of gadgets from his residence.
Matthew Turvey, residing on St Michael’s Avenue in Ryde, appeared before the Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, February 25.
The 31-year-old confessed to three charges of possessing child sexual assault photographs in Ryde on November 1, 2022.
Prosecutor Leah Dillon stated that the charges were revealed after a notification to the police from a paedophile hunting organisation.
She stated that officers visited Matthew Turvey’s residence, where they confiscated several items, including a mobile phone.
The court was informed that Matthew Turvey remarked, “I’m bolloxed,” in the presence of police upon realising his time had expired.
A total of 122,000 photos required examination. Ms. Dillon stated that a limited quantity of photos constituted the foundation of the charges: one Category A image (the most severe), 11 Category B images, and 49 Category C images.
The court was informed Matthew Turvey said that he ought to have deleted a saved video depicting the sexual abuse of a kid on his mobile phone, which he described as “disturbing.”
Michael McGoldrick, representing the defendant, requested the preparation of a pre-sentence report for his client, who has no prior convictions.
The case of Matthew Turvey has been postponed until May 9.
He was given unconditional free until that day, and the magistrates mandated the preparation of a comprehensive pre-sentence report encompassing all options.

Turvey was handed an 18-month community order, to include 30 rehabilitation days and 300 hours of unpaid work.
He was made subject of a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.
