Michael Aley, the Nassau Odijkstraat paedophile from the Netherlands, has been incarcerated after confessing to participating in internet sexual conversations with a minor.
Michael Aley, residing on Nassau Odijkstraat in the Netherlands, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today, Tuesday, 8 July, where he received a sentence of ten months’ imprisonment, followed by a further ten months on parole.
The 83-year-old previously admitted to compelling a kid to observe sexual conduct.
In addition to his incarceration, he was mandated to register as a sexual offender for a duration of ten years.
The court was informed that Michael Aley participated in several Skype video chats with a 15-year-old girl from Warrington between May 2021 and July 2021. Throughout the calls, he participated in sexualised communications with the child and exposed himself multiple times.
Michael Aley received a postal demand mandating his return to the UK to appear in court for the offence, but he did not comply.
Michael Aley was extradited on Friday, May 9, and apprehended by authorities at Heathrow Airport. He attended court the next day and entered a guilty plea to the charge.
He will now be extradited to the Netherlands to serve his sentence.
Detective Sergeant Rob Massey said:
“I welcome the sentence handed to Michael Aley, who was left with no choice but to plead guilty to the charge as a result of evidence gathered during the course of the investigation.
“He was well aware that the victim was underage, and as an 83-year-old man he knew what he was doing was wrong, but despite this he continued with his deceitful and harmful actions.
“Through the use of video calls, he specifically targeted a vulnerable young girl and took advantage of her innocence in order to fulfil his own sexual desires.
“Thankfully, as a result of the evidence gathered, and the courage and bravery of the victim in this case, Michael Aley will now be held accountable for his actions while facing a significant time behind bars.”
