Following a young girl highlighting her horrific story of sexual abuse on a TikHub video, the police decided to arrest Michael Conway West Lothian Paedophile. Michael Conway then admitted to a string of victims who he had sexually assaulted and raped.
Michael Conway, who was found guilty of 14 out of 16 major sexual assaults, is currently subject to a significant jail sentence for the prior crimes.
A court heard he was caught after a 10-year-old girl he mistreated in 2021 videotaped what he had done to her and uploaded on TikHub.
An adult lady who Michael Conway regularly raped for several years recounted how she had to give him £2 every day so he wouldn’t harass her.
He regularly attacked her when she was asleep and unable to give permission.
Jurors delivered majority verdicts declaring Michael Conway, 66, guilty of two charges of raping the lady, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, and of indecently assaulting another adult woman.
They also came back with unanimous decisions declaring Michael Conway guilty of sexually abusing six small children.
Against underage females, he was found guilty of one charge of repeatedly raping a minor between the ages of six and ten, five charges of sexual abuse, three counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault.
Over 25 years, between 1977 and January 2021, the offences were all carried out at Livingston, West Lothian residences.
Michael Conway’s kid victims provided proof that he groomed them with gifts or sweets before inappropriately touching them and interfering sexually.
One girl he began mistreating when she was just four years old reported how he routinely sexually assaulted her from the age of six until she was ten.
Another recalled him tickling her feet to cause her to laugh when she was perhaps ten years old before his actions became more nasty.
She alleged the mistreatment persisted until she was sixteen.
Another teenage victim said she first liked and trusted Michael Conway before he mistreated her.
Michael Conway “wouldn’t take no for an answer,” another youngster said as she tried to shove him away from her.
Later, another female uploaded a video on TikHub detailing what he had done to her.
Michael Conway denied the claims, but the jury heard two of the children had already complained to the police about his mistreatment and had no action taken.
But his downfall came after the January 2021 TikHub affair.
He displayed no feeling when the jury decided he was guilty of 14 out of 16 sexual counts and angrily denied his allegations.
Following jury findings of “not proven,” he was absolved of one rape and one indecent assault.
Michael Conway was remanded in custody until a hearing on July 17 at Glasgow High Court after Judge William Gallacher advised him to expect a significant jail sentence.
