Authorities in Scarborough have apprehended the Scarborough Sex Offender, Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah, for perpetrating a sexual assault against a susceptible woman.
Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah, 19, of Queen Street, Scarborough, was convicted of the offence at the conclusion of a trial at York Crown Court on 8 April 2025.
On Thursday, May 8, 2025, he received a sentence of 16 months’ imprisonment and was registered as a sex offender for a duration of five years.
A sexual assault on a local woman in her 40s occurred in Scarborough town centre at approximately 2:35 AM on Sunday, 26 November 2023.
A council CCTV operator observed and recorded Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah loitering while watching groups of ladies.
The sufferer had consumed alcohol and was reclined on the ground.
Notwithstanding the woman’s friend’s assertion that assistance was unnecessary when Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah approached, he lifted the victim before embracing and caressing her.
The CCTV operator testified that the defendant was observed intentionally caressing the woman’s breasts over her clothing on multiple occasions.
Law enforcement officials were notified of the occurrence and conducted a swift examination of the CCTV material.
Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah was apprehended, detained for interrogation, and subsequently released on conditional bail as investigations proceeded.
He refuted the allegation of sexually abusing the woman.
At the trial, Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah was found not guilty of raping another woman at the cemetery on Dean Road just before 2am on Saturday 20 July 2024.
Detective Sergeant Michele Fawcett, from the Major Investigation Team, said: “The quick-thinking actions of the CCTV operator and the attending police officers were crucial in identifying Muhamed Enwar Fadhlallah as the suspect of the sexual assault.
“He has been proved to be a dangerous predator who sought out a vulnerable woman for his own sexual gratification.
