In Oxford, several grooming groups have been convicted of various child sexual offences over the past decade, with the initial convictions occurring in 2013.
On June 27, 2013, two sets of brothers from a cruel Oxford Grooming Gang sex ring were sentenced to life imprisonment.
The exploitation of six females, aged 11 to 15, occurred from 2004 to 2012. During that period, the females would be inundated with booze and narcotics.
They were thereafter compelled to engage in sexual actions with the men from the Oxford Grooming Gang. Some were subjected to beating and burned with various items.
Five men—two of East African descent and three of Pakistani descent—received sentences ranging from 12 to 20 years, with one individual condemned to life imprisonment. Their vile behaviours encompassed child sexual assault, rape, buggery, torture, and trafficking.
The initial Oxford Grooming Gang identified in the city comprised Kamar Jamil, Akhtar Dogar, Anjum Dogar, Assad Hussain, and Mohammed Karrar.
In the subsequent decade, further grooming gangs were revealed in Oxford, resulting in the sentencing of 16 men in June 2014, March 2015, June 2018, and February 2020 for comparable egregious offences.
In February 2020, three men, Naim Khan, Mohammed Nazir, and Raheem Ahmed, were incarcerated for using a girl as a ‘sexual commodity’ from ages 13 to 15, throughout the years 1999 to 2001.
A serious case review launched by the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Partnership 373 children, including 50 boys, could have been groomed and sexually exploited in the area.
The report accused Thames Valley Police cowards of not believing youngsters when they complained and failing to stop the child rapes and torture.
