Authorities investigating a sexual incident near an Oxford Travelodge continue to solicit public assistance for information, as no arrests have been made nearly one week later.
The event transpired at approximately 11:50 PM on Tuesday, November 5, when a woman engaged in conversation with a male near the Travelodge on Abingdon Road.
Subsequently, they strolled together until he guided her to a field, where he sexually assaulted her, according to Thames Valley Police.
Officers describe the offender as a man of black mixed heritage, around 35 to 37 years old, with a beard, with dark black hair with a short back and sides.
He is thought to have ridden off on a bicycle and may have been carrying a blue and green delivery bag.
Speaking on Monday afternoon (November 11), a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We are continuing our enquiries into this investigation and continuing to support the victim and gather further information.
“No arrests have been made at this time.
“We would ask anyone who has information to please come forward if they have not already done so, calling 101 quoting the reference 43240536294.”

Police investigating the rape of a woman near an Oxford Travelodge have revealed there have still been no arrests as a fresh appeal has been launched.
In a second statement issued on Friday, Thames Valley Police continue to ask anyone with information to come forward, to progress the investigation more than two weeks on from the incident near the Travelodge on Abingdon Road.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 5, at 11.50pm, when a woman met and spoke to man near the Travelodge.
They then walked together before he led her to a field where he proceeded to sexually assault her, Thames Valley Police said.
Speaking on Friday, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “We continue to investigate the circumstance of this incident and specialist officers continue to support the victim.
“No arrests have been made at this time.”
Appealing for information, officers describe the offender as a man of black mixed heritage, around 35 to 37 years old, with a beard, with dark black hair with a short back and sides.
